Our Mission
The Hamilton Black Film Festival is an annual festival that showcases films by African/Caribbean, Indigenous, Asian, Middle Eastern, and other filmmakers of ethnic inclusion. It gives people from different backgrounds an accessible platform and affirms that Hamilton welcomes all people.
The festival is distinct because it explicitly welcomes ethnic minorities, nurturing creative aspirations and offering support such as training and mentorship in producing, directing, writing, and related film skills.

HBFF promotes unity, cultural integration, and a positive image for minorities in our community. It celebrates difference and cooperation among citizens of Hamilton.
